Rachel is a native Rhode Islander who has practiced in this state for over 13 years.  She specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Interactive Guided Imagery.  Rachel’s goal is not only to treat symptoms, but also to teach her patients skills that they can utilize to maintain progress achieved in therapy.  She has extensive experience working with children, families, adults, and older adults.  She has practiced in the areas of school therapy, home care therapy, hospital therapy, emergency psych triage, nursing home and rehabilitation therapy.  Rachel has been in private practice since 1994.   

JoAnne Waite, LMFT

JoAnne is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who is dedicated to providing friendly, relaxed therapy to assure the well-being and growth of her patients.  She has extensive experience working with children, adolescents, adults and older adults.  She is certified in eye movement desensitization (EMDR) and reprocessing as well as dialectical behavior therapy.  JoAnne implements art therapy with children and has obtained a Masters degree in Art Therapy.  Her expertise in these areas is valuable to patients who are seeking traditional as well as  alternative  therapies.

Katja Patel, LICSW

Katja is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker who has experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, and Family Systems Model Therapy.  She has experience in a variety of settings including: Crises Intervention, After School Therapuetic Services, Adult Transition Program, Head Start  Pre-School Indivulual and Play Therapy Services, as well as general out-patient therapy.  Katja is particulary skilled at creating connections with her patients that foster a sense of collaboration to accomplish change and complete goals .  She brings with her a positive energy that is very motivating to patients.
