Rachel Thorpe, LICSW
Clinical Director
Rachel is a native Rhode Islander who has practiced in this state for over 15 years. She specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Skills Building, Neurofeedback, animal assisted therapy, and varied relaxation skills. Rachel’s goal is not only to treat symptoms, but also to teach her patients skills that they can utilize to maintain progress achieved in therapy. She has extensive experience working with children, families, adults, and older adults. She has practiced in the areas of outpatient therapy, school therapy, home care therapy, hospital therapy, emergency psych triage, nursing home and rehabilitation therapy. Rachel has been in private practice since 1994.
Kelley Gemma LICSW 
Kelley is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker who utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, play therapy and interactive therapy to help her patients realize their full potential . She has extensive experience working with children, adolescents, families, adults, and couples. Kelley utilizes an energetic, positive, non-judgemental approach to treatment that motivates patients to utilize recommended tools to realize their goals.
Katja Patel, LICSW
Katja is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker who has experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, and Family Systems Model Therapy. She also has had comprehensive training and experience applying Dialectical Behavior Therapy with both individuals and groups; this is a specific model that focuses on eliminating high-risk behaviors and improving coping skills and overall quality of life. She has provided therapy in various settings including Intensive Outpatient Programs, Head Start Preschools, and general outpatient offices as well as providing crises management and on-call services for clients in need. Katja is particulary skilled at creating connections with her patients that foster a sense of collaboration to accomplish change and complete goals . She brings with her a positive energy that is very motivating to patients.
Dale Belluscio, LICSW Dale is a Licenced Clinical Social Worker who has experience in a variety of settings utilizing an eclectic therapuetic approach. Dale has had experience as a clinician working with couples within the federal probation program, adolescent girls in an emergency shelter, children with autistic spectrum disorders in a home based program, as well as individual, group and family therapy in outpatient programs. Dale utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy, play therapy, family therapy as well as skills based therapy. She provides an atmosphere in which patients feel safe and comfortable while working towards their goals. Dale also has a wealth of knowledge regarding community resources and services. 
Jennifer Shepherd, LMFT
Jennifer comes to our practice with many years of experience in a broad range of settings. She has worked as a domestic violence advocate, youth diversion counselor, home based therapeutic services therapist, school social worker, therapist/intern at the URI Family Therapy Clinic, as well as an outpatient therapist in varied settings. Jennifer possesses excellent assessment skills and interdisciplinary coordination and communication skills. She utilizes a diversity of therapeutic interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Systems Focused Therapy, Solutions Focused Therapy, Psycho-education, and Play Therapy. Jennifer strives to empower individuals, couples and families to create permanent change in order to improve quality of life.
Morgan Slack Deschene, LICSW
Morgan brings a great number of diversified experiences and skills that will surely serve our patients needs. Morgan's past experiences include working as a research assistant and therapist in the areas of alcoholism and geriatrics. She also has been an intern at an elementary school, DCYF intern, Juvenile court counselor/intern, and outpatient therapist for families, adults, children, adolescents, and couples. Morgan utilizes an eclectic approach which includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, Family Dynamics Therapy, Systems Focused Therapy and Psycho-education. Morgan is extremely knowledgeable in the area of community resources and has extensive experience collaborating care with other medical providers.
