Who is it for? 

 

Girls between the ages of 13 and 18 who want to get together to talk about issues that matter to them (and even have a little fun!).  There will be two groups divided into ages 13-15 and 16-18.

 

What is the purpose?

To give and receive feedback and support and share ideas around coping in a relaxed setting.

 

When is it? 

The groups will begin meeting weekly on Wednesday evenings at a date to be announced based on enrollment.  Sessions will last one hour and will take place at Ocean State Psychotherapy (see address below).  All participants will initially be asked to make an eight week commitment, at which point extending the commitment will be discussed. 

 

Will my insurance pay for it?

Most likely.  For questions regarding insurance, speak to Debra Octeau-Curley.

How do I enroll?

It’s easy- simply call our office to schedule a consultation to see if you are an appropriate fit for the group. 

What will be talked about? 

Participants will be encouraged to identify the issues that are most important to them.  Subjects often include managing relationships with family and friends, self-image, self-care, goals, school, dating, coping with pressure and stress, and safety.
